Race Directors and owners Kerry Loehr and Traci Manning are native Oregonians, and our goal is to show off and benefit the communities we run through. The Gorgeous Series includes the Bend Marathon and Half, as well as one-day relays in some of the most GORGEOUS parts of our state. We have a background that includes a career in nonprofit work, and years of combined volunteer service. Supporting local nonprofits and schools is one of the best parts of our job.
American Cancer Society - The Official sponsor of Birthdays!
Since year one, 2015 we have proudly worked with American Cancer Society to make a difference in the fight back against cancer. Every single one of us has been touched by cancer in one way or another, and Bend Marathon and Half is proud to be able to help fund lifesaving research, support local programs for cancer patients and their families and help with early detection and education within the local community.
Central Oregon Relay for Life teams are dedicated volunteers and part of the Bend Marathon family. You can also make a personal donation during race registration.
we've also been fortunate to work with the following groups
(Summit High School Cross Country has been at Bend Marathon and Half since year one!)
To date, Bend Marathon and Half has contributed over $19,500 to Bend and Central Oregon. The Gorgeous Series has been able to contribute $30,000 and counting to nonprofits in all of the communities we run in. If your organization is interested in fundraising through volunteering at the Bend Marathon and Half, find out more and reach out through our Volunteer Page. If you want to learn about our other events and beneficiaries, find out at the Gorgeous Series site. And if you have any other questions, you can find us most quickly at the contact form below.
