Runners say that more than anything, it is the volunteers that make the race special. Volunteers keep them going and make them smile.  And, it’s no secret that volunteers have at least as much fun as the runners!

  • One way the Bend Marathon and Half supports organizations that make Bend such a special place, is working with local charities and school-groups who volunteer as a group to raise money. If you want to learn more, just use the form below, and make sure you select a group when registering to volunteer!
  • We are always excited to meet experienced volunteers who want to work behind the scenes and get more involved as a Volunteer Lead. Leads spend a little extra time really learning and organizing one part of the race and sharing their knowledge with other volunteers. If you want to hear more about what's involved, use the form below to reach out. We want to make volunteering extra special and one way we can do that is to give it a bigger purpose. Sure, you're helping a great community event but we also want to help our community at large too. Each volunteer that affiliates with a non-profit group when they sign up will be donating $20 to that group. This can really add up when groups are able to rally the troops and get people out.
